Since we never Tire of Talking Tires (see what we did there…) let’s unravel the mystery of The Tire Rotation:

Not all Tire Rotations are the same. The way we Rotate Tires depends on your Car’s Drivetrain. We will Rotate Your Tires differently for a Front Wheel Drive Vehicle than a Rear Wheel Drive Or All Wheel Drive Vehicle. Directional Tires Get Rotated in a specific pattern as well. Here we’ll cover the Two Most Common Tire Rotation Patterns.

Front Wheel Drive Vehicles: A Front Wheel Drive Car Wears Front Tires Faster because the Car is being powered by the front Tires. When We Rotate Tires On Front Wheel Drive Vehicles we rotate them in a forward cross pattern. We move the Front Tires diagonally to the rear. The Rear Tires are moved straight forward to the front. This Tire Rotation Pattern is also used on some All Wheel Drive Vehicles.

Rear Wheel Drive & some All Wheel Drive Vehicles: For these Vehicles we use the Rearward Cross Pattern For Tire Rotation. We move the Rear Tires diagonally to the front. The Front Tires are moved straight back to the rear.
